 CELEBRATING VOLUNTEERS IN SPORTS       

 Next month Year of the Volunteer is    

 celebrating Sports Month when all the  

 volunteers vital to sports in the UK   

 will be heralded.                      

                                        

 These include unknown coaches who train

 Olympic champions and volunteers who   

 run football clubs for children from   

 deprived backgrounds.                  

                                        

 Some 70,000 volunteers will be required

 for the 2012 Olympics and 30,000 have  

 already registered their interest.     

                                        

 Famous sporting volunteers include     

 Matthew Pinsent CBE and Callum Giles.
