 Pompey striker Lomana LuaLua has been  

 released from hospital after suffering 

 a bout of malaria following a weekend  

 playing for Congo in Africa.           

                                        

 "The next stage will be to look at him 

 this week and check his blood tests    

 before deciding on the next step," said

 a Portsmouth website statement.        

                                        

 LuaLua should have recovered in time   

 for Portsmouth's next match against    

 Middlesbrough on October 15.
