 Ken Clarke and David Cameron havj gone 

 head-to-head in their battle for the   

 Tory leadership as they both outlined  

 their visions of the party's future.   

                                        

 Speaking in Blackpool, Mr Clarke urged 

 a return to traditional Tory values, in

 contrast to Mr Cameron's pledge to     

 "inspire a new generation" of Tories.  

                                        

 Ex-Chancellor Mr Clarke said he is the 

 "bigger beast" best suited to take on  

 Labour, with lower taxes his main aim.
