 The success of Ronnie Barker's shows   

 earned him numerous accolades including

 three Bafta awards and an OBE in 1978. 

                                        

 After his retirement, he was lured     

 back in 1999 to appear in a Two Ronnies

 retrospective production. Soon after he

 was persuaded to return to appear in a 

 BBC drama, The Gathering Storm.        

                                        

 Despite vowing never to return to the  

 screen, he also went to Italy to shoot 

 the film My House In Umbria.
