 Michael Owen is confident he will be   

 fit for England's crucial World Cup    

 showdown with Austria on Saturday.     

                                        

 Owen missed Newcastle's draw with      

 Portsmouth at the weekend with a dead  

 leg but is keen to line up at Old      

 Trafford, especially as strike partner 

 Wayne Rooney is suspended.             

                                        

 Owen said: "I'm confident that I'll be 

 fit for England. It's just a dead leg  

 and shouldn't affect me too much."
