 DAVIS TAKES UP NEW ROLE                

                                        

 Sussex off-spinner Mark Davis is to    

 retire from cricket to take up the role

 of club coach at the county.           

                                        

 The 34-year-old South African, who     

 joined the club in 2001, has made the  

 move after featuring in only four      

 Championship matches for Sussex this   

 season, bowling just 37 overs.         

                                        

 And he said: "I didn't play much so it 

 makes sense to concentrate on this new 

 role which I'm very excited about."
