 Defender Gareth McAuley has returned to

 Northern Ireland's squad to face World 

 Cup qualifying rivals Wales and Austria

 after recovering from a calf strain.   

                                        

 It's a boost for Lawrie Sanchez who has

 Chris Baird banned for the Wales match 

 and Aaron Hughes out injured (hernia). 

                                        

 Cardiff midfielders Jeff Whitley and   

 Philip Mulryne are left out of the 21- 

 man party but Ivan Sproule, Andy Smith 

 and Michael Duff have been retained.
