 CAROL READY TO BE DES'S GIRL           

                                        

 TV star Carol Vorderman says she's     

 looking forward to working with Des    

 Lynam as the new host of Countdown.    

                                        

 "He'll never replace Richard, it's     

 about him being Des. He genuinely loves

 the programme and he watches it a lot. 

 I think people love Des in the way they

 loved Richard," she says.              

                                        

 "I've known him for nearly 10 years now

 and I believe he is the right man to   

 take the show on."
