Des Lynam is the perfect man to follow
in Richard Whiteley's footsteps as the
host of Countdown, says Carol
Vorderman.
"Richard always used to say 'I am a
cult' and I'd say, 'yes you are a cult
Richard'. But in all seriousness he was
a national treasure, and they're aren't
many broadcasters who are," she says.
"Des is one of them. Everyone knows who
Des is just like they did Richard."
