 Actor and comic genius Ronald William  

 George Barker was born on September 25,

 1929, in Bedford.                      

                                        

 He was educated at Oxford High School  

 and began his acting career with the   

 Aylesbury Repertory Company in 1948.   

                                        

 By 1955, he was appearing in roles in  

 West End productions, including        

 Mourning Becomes Electra, Listen To The

 Wind, Double Image, Lysistrata, Irma La

 Douce and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
