RONNIE BARKER: 1929-2005
In 2004 Ronnie Barker received a Bafta
in recognition of his long TV career.
It was a moving moment for him and he
was delighted to be briefly reunited
with David Jason.
He had made an acclaimed appearance in
straight acting roles in The Gathering
Storm as Churchill's butler.
"The feeling of being on the set was
very new and strange to me at first,"
he said. "I'm going straight back into
retirement after this," he added.
