 disappointed Russian compatriot and    

 world No 1 Maria Sharapova has failed  

 to turn out for Fed Cup duty.

 the No 5 seed said: "If she played it  

 would make our team even stronger but I

 don't think she has such a desire.     

                                        

 "She was telling the captain she was
