 CONCERN OVER IRAQ LAW CHANGES o~5z?o%

 The UN has expressed its concern to the

 Iraqi government that last-minute      

 changes to the country's electoral laws

 do not meet international standards.   

                                        

 Officials have met Iraqi authorities   

 and are confident Iraq will ultimately 

 agree to sound rules, a spokesman said.

                                        

 Sunni leaders threatened to boycott the

 October 15 vote on a constitution due  

 to rules making it nearly impossible   

 for Sunnis to defeat it at the polls.
