 Ronnie Barker first worked with Ronnie 

 Corbett in 1966 and the pair teamed up 

 for their first BBC series in 1971.    

                                        

 The Two Ronnies began a 16-year run    

 that yielded 12 series, plus Christmas 

 specials, a total of 98 shows.         

                                        

 They came to represent a distinctly    

 old-fashioned, but enduringly popular, 

 style of traditional British humour,   

 and the show still pulls in the viewers

 when repeats are shown.
