 Defender Steven Taylor was relieved    

 Newcastle drew at Portsmouth as he did 

 not want to be blamed for the absence  

 of Michael Owen at Fratton Park.       

                                        

 Taylor collided with Owen in training  

 and the England striker missed the     

 match with a dead leg.                 

                                        

 "I didn't realise he was going to be   

 out until after training. I was        

 gutted," said Taylor. "I'm just glad we

 got something out of the game."
