 LOYALIST GRAY SHOT DEAD       /# `{~%

 Senior loyalist Jim Gray, who was once 

 the head of the paramilitary Ulster    

 Defence Association, has been shot dead

 in east Belfast.                       

                                        

 He was out on bail awaiting trial on   

 money laundering charges after being   

 arrested by police as part of a probe  

 into serious crime in Northern Ireland.

                                        

 The 47-year-old is thought to have been

 shot when he answered his front door   

 and was confronted by two gunmen.
