 MAN REMANDED OVER OAP MURDER     b'

 A man has been remanded in custody     

 accused of the murder of a pensioner   

 found dead in his garden in Birmingham.

                                        

 Mohammed Naheem, 35, of Enville Grove, 

 Sparkhill, appeared before Birmingham  

 magistrates accused of killing Daniel  

 McGann, 73, in the Acocks Green area.  

                                        

 Naheem, who is also charged with three 

 counts of burglary, will appear at     

 Birmingham Crown Court on October 18.
