 With Kids Behind Bars, Rex Bloomstein  

 turns his camera on under-18s in two of

 the UK's young offenders institutions. 

                                        

 "I wanted to humanise them," says the  

 film-maker. "They are troubled, but    

 nevertheless come from families. What  

 went wrong for them to embark on this? 

                                        

 "I took a non-judgmental approach;     

 society has already judged them - they 

 are in prison. I wanted to get behind  

 the headline and the stereotype."
