 I WAS A PERRIER COMEDY AWARD JUDGE     

                                        

 No Perrier decisions are taken lightly.

 We saw all the longlisted shows, then  

 saw the main shortlisted ones a second 

 time to check that performers were     

 consistent over a number of nights.    

                                        

 The final votes required the winners to

 secure clear majorities, and were by   

 secret ballot... secret even from us!  

                                        

 We were told when there was a final    

 result, but not what it was. We learned

 with everybody else, at the party.
