 ■ At 10.30pm on August 8 there was an  

   attempted armed robbery at a fish and

   chip shop in The Uplands, Smethwick. 

   A man approached the counter while   

   another closed the door. The female  

   worker was told to open the till but 

   refused and called to her husband.   

   The offenders then fled empty handed.

                                        

 ■ Both men are described as aged late  

   teens, 5W4", slim. The offender with 

   the gun is white, clean shaven and   

   wore a grey hooded top.
