 IF PLEDGES OVERSEAS CARD BUY PROTECTION

                                        

 Intelligent Finance has pledged that   

 its credit card holders will continue  

 to have cover for problems with any    

 item purchased when they travel abroad.

                                        

 The Consumer Credit Act gives consumers

 protection when they use a credit card 

 to purchase an item costing £100-plus. 

                                        

 But the safeguard, which makes the card

 issuer and supplier liable if things go

 wrong, isn't for items bought abroad.  

 Offering such cover is optional.
