 GREEK TRAGEDY IN NEW BLOW FOR REGAL    

                                        

 Crisis-hit Regal Petroleum has shut    

 down production at Greek subsidiary    

 Kavala Oil after an industrial dispute 

 steadily escalated.                    

                                        

 Regal, which warned full year earnings 

 will fall short of market expectations,

 admitted it is reviewing its Greek     

 operations after a series of setbacks. 

                                        

 The group promised an audit of its     

 reserves in Greece and the Ukraine with

 its first half results on September 28.
