 NEW DIRECTOR ANNOUNCED                 

                                        

 The Scottish Association Of Sign       

 Language Interpreters (SASLI) has      

 appointed Iain Whyte as director.      

                                        

 Mr Whyte worked as director and general

 secretary of the Church of Scotland's  

 education and training department      

 before moving to SASLI in August.      

                                        

 "I am looking forward to playing a part

 in the continuing development of BSL   

 interpreting as a valued profession    

 throughout Scotland," he said.
