 NORTHAMPTON: NORTHANTS v LANCS, Day 4  

 Lancashire's promotion charge was hit  

 as Northants completed an emphatic     

 285-run victory, only their fourth win 

 of the season, after the visitors had  

 held a slender first-innings lead.     

                                        

 Northamptonshire declared on 400-6 to  

 set Lancashire 389 to win. The Red Rose

 county slumped to a miserable 103 all  

 out, spinner Jason Brown taking 5-22 to

 add to his five wickets in the first   

 innings, while Monty Panesar took 3-32.
