 HANDS CLEAN McLEAN                     

                                        

 I was interested to meet the new NGRC  

 chief exec Alistair McLean this week.  

 The Northern Irishman wanted to discuss

 some of the criticisms of the Club that

 have appeared in this column.          

                                        

 McLean lacks industry knowledge, which 

 goes against him, but has 'clean hands'

 and an open mind.                      

                                        

 McLean and new senior steward Edward   

 Bentall face a tough fence-building    

 grind. We need them to succeed.
