 Miscanthas x giganteus - Giant silver  

 grass Very useful as background, a     

 specimen or as a screening plant. It's 

 tough and reliable, but the lowest     

 foliage will go brown if it doesn't    

 receive enough water during the summer.

                                        

 Cut it back in autumn to tidy it up or 

 to let more light in. Cut it down      

 before it starts growth in spring.     

 Other grasses Matt used in the garden  

 are Miscanthus sinensis (Gracillimus)  

 and Panicum virgatum (Rotstrahlbusch).
