 Niall, 15, has appeared in court more  

 than 30 times. Steve, 17, robbed three 

 boys and stabbed one.                  

                                        

 They are just two of the young         

 offenders who feature in Kids Behind   

 Bars, director Rex Bloomstein's look at

 the lives of teenage criminals.        

                                        

 The film-maker gained unique access to 

 two young offenders centres, opening   

 up a world previously closed to the    

 public. We spoke to him about his work.
