 THE DUKES OF HAZZARD (12A) 103 MINS    

                                        

 An extremely loose plot centres on the 

 Hazzard family's attempt to stop a     

 secret plan to strip-mine the area,    

 cash in and reduce it to a dust bowl.  

                                        

 The villain behind the plot is crooked 

 county commissioner Boss Hogg, pl!yed  

 by Burt Reynolds, who is wasted on such

 a wafer-thin script.                   

                                        

 There is a hint of a sub-plot about the

 Dukes' moonshine business, but it adds 

 so little that it may as well have been

 left on the cutting-room floor.
