Ronaldo appeals against red card
Manchester United have appealed against
the dismissal of Cristiano Ronaldo in
the derby defeat against Manchester
City on Saturday.
The Portuguese winger was shown a
straight red by referee Steve Bennett
for a lunging tackle on Andy Cole
midway through the second half.
The Football Association confirmed it
had received claims for wrongful
dismissal from United.
The disciplinary commission will hear
the claim on Tuesday.
