 UK films nab a third of takings        

 British films raked in a third of all  

 cinema takings in the UK last year.    

                                        

 Hits like Harry Potter, Charlie And The

 Chocolate Factory, and Wallace and     

 Gromit helped British films take 34% of

 all box office cash.                   

                                        

 Statistics from the UK Film Council    

 show this is the highest figure for 10 

 years and is up 23% from 2004.         

                                        

 Eight British films made it into the   

 list of the top 20 highest-earning     

 films of 2005, with the latest Harry   

 Potter in top place, earning £47.6m.
