Demon plans scrapped
Henrietta Knight has again been forced
to scrap her running plans for Arkle
Trophy favourite Racing Demon after the
gelding burst an abscess on a tooth.
The 6yo had been entered at Uttoxeter
on Wednesday but did not appear among
the five-day entries for the Lightning
Chase at Lingfield on Saturday.
"Unfortunately he burst an abscess on a
tooth and he can't run this week at
all," said the Wantage-based trainer.
"It is of no consequence long-term, but
it has been uncomfortable for him."
