 Geisha film reveals 'hidden culture'   

 Based on a US best-seller about a      

 Japanese cultural phenomenon, Memoirs  

 of a Geisha opens on 13 January.       

                                        

 The second film from Chicago director  

 Rob Marshall focuses on the "hidden    

 culture" of the geisha, Japan's unique 

 professional female companions.

 would make an incredible movie because 

 it has all these visual elements."
