 Q How do schools know if people are on 

 the lists?                             

                                        

 A Anybody working with children has to 

 undergo an enhanced Criminal Records   

 Bureau check, which will flag up a     

 person's presence on the sex offenders'

 register. The education department     

 has its blacklist of people banned from

 working with children called List 99.  

                                        

 Q Why was Mr Reeve not placed on List  

 99?                                    

                                        

 A He was given the benefit of the doubt

 after he said he looked by mistake.
