France's Liberation criticises the
government for envisaging a permanent
police presence in schools after a
spate of "spectacular attacks".
It argues that "the presence of a
uniform and a baton is not enough to
put authority back into schools".
The paper concedes teacher cannot be
left to deal with the "daily violence"
to which they are subjected.
Le Monde blames the education ministry
for putting "young, inexperienced
teachers" into problem schools.
