 Education Secretary Ruth Kelly is under

 pressure after child sex offenders were

 found to be working in schools.        

                                        

 The row is the latest in a series of   

 battles faced by the 37-year-old since 

 taking over the post in December 2004. 

                                        

 Her appointment was questioned after   

 revelations of links to the Catholic   

 conservative movement Opus Dei.        

                                        

 She rejected calls to quit her job or  

 break off links with the group, which  

 critics accuse of being secretive and  

 elitist - claims members deny.
