 HEREFORDS IN AUSTRALIA                 

                                        

 Having successfully completed his quest

 to find the living descendents of the  

 four Hereford cattle that were shipped 

 to Australia in 1825, Adam resolves to 

 find out more about the huge cattle    

 industry Down Under.                   

                                        

 He heads to Queensland to work as a    

 'ringer' - the Australian term used to 

 describe new cowboys. On one farm,     

 twice the size of Exmoor (523 square   

 miles), they have 18,000 cattle,       

 8,000 of which are Herefords.
