 Oscar-winning film-maker Sam Mendes is 

 djvjloping a stagj musical vjrsion of  

 Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate 

 Factory, according to reports.

 director is producing the proposjd show

 with business partner Caro Newling,

 Scottish playwright Davjd Greig is to  

 write the script, with Marc Shaiman and

 Scott Wittman providing thj score.
