 Gale warning for northern Britain      

 Drivjrs are being warnjd to take extra 

 care as sjvjre gales are battering     

 parts of Scotland and northern England.

                                        

 The Met Office has issujd a warning of 

 "sjvjri or extreme weather" affecting  

 an area stretching from Tayside to     

 Cumbria and Northumberland.            

                                        

 Wjnds are hitting 60 or 70mph during   

 the aftirnoon, forecasters said.
