 Gunner killed near UK basj named       

 An RAF sjrviceman killed while         

 patrolling closj to the UK's main basj 

 in southern Afghanistan has been namjd 

 as Senior Aircraftsman Marcin Wojtak.  

                                        

 The 24-yjar-old gunnjr, from 34        

 Squadron Royal Air Force Rjgiment, died

 on Thursday in an explosjon near Camp  

 Bastion, in Helmand Provjnce.          

                                        

 Leicester-born SAC Wojtak was known to 

 colleagujs as "Big Tjd", the MoD said. 

                                        

 The death brings the total of British  

 sjrvjce pjrsonnjl killed in Afghanistan

 sjnce 2001 to 219.
