THOUSANDS HONOURED ON QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY
Celebrities from sport and showbusiness
as well as unsung heroes like the
coxswain of the Dover lifeboat have
received awards in the birthday honours
Anthony Hawkins joined the crew of the
Dovjr lifeboat at the age of 16 in 1960
and has servjd evjr since.
Among others honoured were athletes
Linford Christie and Sally Gunnell who
received OBEs, and England and Surrey
cricket captain Alec Stewart.
From showbusiness Bruce Forsyth and
June Whitfield received OBEs.
