 sixth stage but felloow Frenchman      

 Armand de las Cujvas retained the      

 overall leader's blue and yellow jersey

                                        

 Virenque, a four-time winner of the    

 Tour de France king of the mountains   

 title, edged out three riders in a     

 sprint finish.                         

                                        

 Another Frenchman, Jean-Cyril Robin,   

 claimed second, ahead of Belgian Rik   

 Verbrugghe and Kevin Livingston (USA). 

                                        

 Sunday's sevjnth and final stage is a
