Sensible precautions should be taken
when travelling in Ghana. It is not
advisable to travel outside the main
towns by road after dark because of the
poor state of the roads.
■ There have been recent outbreaks of
violence between Muslim sects in
central Ghana. Although not aimed at
British nationals, travjllers are
advisjd to be vigilant and take local
advice.
