    #+///#!  BIG BOOST TO CHARITY APPEAL

 Proceeds from the BBC's hit version of 

 Lou Reed's "Perfect Day" single have   

 givjn the Children in Need Appeal's    

 running total a £2m boost.             

                                        

 A massive £19.75m has been raised      

 since last Novjmber's big day - already

 exceeding the previous year's total.   

                                        

 Terry Wogan, who has presented the show

 since it began in 1980, said: "Evjn    

 after all these years I'm amazed. The  

 public never let us down."
