 Racing books and tapes on the market in

 the run-up to Christmas have never been

 so plentiful as this year.             

                                        

 There is such an array from which to   

 choose, gifts for the racing man/woman 

 should not present shoppers with any   

 problems.                              

                                        

 There are books on Lester Piggott,     

 Frankie Dettori, David Nicholson, plus 

 various annuals that would be happily  

 accepted in any household.             

                                        

 I have selected four titles that I     

 personally would be delighted to see in

 my Christmas stocking on December 25.
