 MURDER INQUIRY UNDER WAY IN NEWCASTLE  

 Detectives in Newcastle have launched a

 murder hunt after a man was gunned down

 in front of revellers.                 

                                        

 Francis George Kelly, 28, who was      

 married with two children, was shot    

 in Macey's Bar in Groat Street at just 

 after 2100 last night.                 

                                        

 Mr Kelly's companion, David Armstrong, 

 was hit in the arm during the attack.  

                                        

 An incident room has been set up and   

 detectives have appealed for witnesses.

 It is believed that Mr Kelly died as   

 the result of an argument.
