 FUNERALS OF INDIAN FIRE VICTIMS BEGIN  

 The funerals have been taking place in 

 northern India of the victims of the   

 fire which engulfed a large marquee,   

 killing at least 400 people.           

                                        

 Many of the dead were school children  

 attending a prize-giving ceremony in   

 the town of Dabwali in Haryana state.  

                                        

 A large field near the site of the     

 disaster has been set aside as a       

 cremation site. Despatch 192           

                                        

 Inquiries into the fire are continuing 

 but police believe an electrical fault 

 is to blame. State authorities have    

 declared three days of mourning.
