 The Boxing Day meeting at Ayr has been 

 abandoned due to frost and snow        

 following an inspection on Sunday.     

                                        

 Joint clerk of the course Mark Kershaw 

 revealed: "There is a severe frost and 

 the snow alone is enough to call off   

 the card. We have no chance of racing. 

                                        

 "There was no point in prolonging the  

 agony. We had no alternative. That's   

 the winter for you."                   

                                        

 Kempton's King George meeting on Boxing

 Day is also under threat with freezing 

 temperatures forecast. There will be an

 inspection on Tuesday at 6.30am.       

    Radio 5 Live Boxing Day bulletins   

        are at 7.55am and 8.55am
