 The former governor of Parkhurst Prison

 has criticised the actions of the Home 

 Secretary. Joshua Rozenberg reports:   

                                        

 John Marriott said there was a fair    

 degree of sculduggery in the way that  

 he was removed from his job as Governor

 of Parkhurst after the escape of three 

 dangerous prisoners.                   

                                        

 He knew that he had not suddenly become

 incompetent overnight and he accused   

 the Home Secretary, Michael Howard, of
