 In 1995, animal protection issues      

 soared to the top of the news agenda   

 with the live export protests and      

 ensuing debate.                        

                                        

 Animal Aid certainly experienced an    

 upsurge in both membership             

 subscriptions and requests for         

 information from the public.           

                                        

 We try to show the connection between  

 live exports and the routine horrors of
