Algan was a fortunate winner of last
year's King George and would have come
a distant second to Barton Bank but for
that one's last fence fall.
Nevertheless, Francois Doumen's chaser
possesses plenty of talent and is bound
to run a good race, although he is
likely to find one or two too good.
Barton Bank would be going for a hat-
trick in this race but for his jumping,
something which often lets him down.
David Nicholson's chaser will find his
fencing tested to the limit in what
looks a vintage renewal and he looks a
risky proposition at short odds.
